Course goals
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
  • identify design principles, heuristics and approaches in existing design products;
  • make well-grounded, systematic and theory-based choices while creating a new educational design for science-related goals.
Content
The course focuses on the design of instructional materials for formal and informal education within the domain of natural sciences and mathematics. Design theories, principles, and heuristics are applied to concrete design processes and products. As such, the course integrates a theoretical and a practical stance.
