The master thesis contributes to the knowledge base of the community of academic educational professionals. The aim of writing the master thesis is to enhance the application of knowledge and understanding in the field of educational science and methods/statistics, as well as enhancing skills regarding judgements, communication, and learning skills.

The master thesis is the final result of the academic master Educational Sciences. It should contribute to the collective knowledge base of the community of educational professionals. The master thesis is the result of an empirical research project as described in the master thesis plan. In principle, the master thesis is written in English. Thematic groups will be formed with several supervisors and peers. There will be regular meetings of these theme groups, during which students will receive feedback from their supervisor and peers on their research plan.The audience forum for the master thesis is the community of educational scientists and practitioners. This means that the thesis should have a broader applicability and generalisation than the results of an internship project. The master thesis will be admitted in the digital thesis library and will be publicly available. Furthermore, the thesis will be presented to and discussed in an audience of educational professionals, scientists, and practitioners during a conference.
