The Game and Media Technology (GMT) Colloquium is a series of talks and research paper presentations on GMT-related topics at the Department of Information and Computing Sciences at Utrecht University.
Participation is mandatory for all students that enrolled in the GMT master program.
The main focus of the colloquium is to give students the opportunity to prepare and practice giving a talk, and to widen the knowledge about different research directions related to GMT.
Assessment
To complete the colloquium, you must:
- Give a presentation of about 30 minutes on a paper of your choice, following the rules given for the presentation
- Collect 50 attendance points (if you started before the academic year 2021/2022, this will be a different number)
Up to 20 "attendance points" can be earned by participating in the following activities:
- Attend the COSC colloquium
- Attend the department colloquium
- Attend external events (as listed on the course webpage)
- Watch video lectures/recorded talks (as listed on the course webpage)

Course form
Discussions, student presentations. Furthermore, there will be invited talks from GMT research and/or the industry every now and then.
Literature
High-impact research papers within the scope of Game and Media Technology.
